Water: Your
Body's Best Nutrition
by:
Alastair Harris
Here in Australia with a continuing
long drought, talk of adding
recycled water to water supplies or desalination plants one quickly
realizes the importance of water.
The garden quickly dies without
it, the lawn turns brown. Likewise as people without adequate water we
die. When people talk about nutrition they talk about the eating leaner
meat, green and yellow vegetables, but all this is pointless if you
body is undergoing a drought.
Water makes approximately 70% plus
of our body weight, and gets up to 90% in some cells. Quite frankly
with a walking pools of water. Without it we quickly die. 3 days
without water results in death. Too often we try to fill our water
intake with drinks such as coffee and tea which result in caffeine
problems and addiction as well as speeding up our body systems only to
crash them back down into fatigue requiring yet another caffeine hit.
The other way people tend to take in water is drinking soft drinks.
However with 14 teaspoons of sugar in each can that is a huge quantity
of sugar. This can result in sugar spikes in your system and insulin
intolerance and lead to long term health problems.

How then do you avoid such "evils". Drink
water plain
and simple in the glass. I am not suggesting you drink water out of the
tap. Water out of the tap tastes disgusting thanks to chlorine,
minerals and other contaminants thanks to traveling many kilometers
through pipes that might be older than you. Do you really want to add
contaminants or carcinogens to your body? A tap filter like a brita
attachment can be good and will filter out 99% of contaminants.
Buying
water from the store in a bottle can be too expensive. However signing
up with a water provider who rent a in home or office water in 15 liter
drums can be a great option. Though it can seem expensive its cheaper
than buying soft drinks and cheaper than buying water by the bottle.
Whats more its nice to drink because its chilled. I find this
arrangement with water accessible at all times means I drink less
rubbish and results in better health thanks to having the water that my
body needs for good health.
Are you getting enough good clean water to
have good health?
