have all come across
the bogus weight loss pill claims of 'take this pill once a day for 2
weeks and lose 50 pounds', or 'take these pills 3 times a day and see
your stomach shrink' - knowing full well that these kinds of statements
really are ridiculous. However there are many diet pill companies that
will have you believing this type of weight loss is possible if you use
their diet pills. However what they neglect to let you know is that
there are diet pill side effects that you should know about.
Weigh loss pills or 'diet
pills' have been around for a very long time.
All promising that you will be able to lose inches, pounds, kilos and
so on in relatively little or no time. To the person who is overweight,
obese, or simply wanting to shed a few pounds, Weight Loss Pills are
very enticing to say the least. If there is a pill out there that tells
you that you can lose heaps of weight just by taking 1 pill a day for 2
weeks - then why wouldn't you go for it? However diet pill side effects
do occur.
In the US alone there are
over
55 million people who are trying to lose weight. Of these 55 million
only 5 percent are expected to actually succeed in losing their weight
- a very low percentage. Most people fail because they are either too
lazy to follow through on their weight loss journey or because they
have taken the easy way out and not received the results they wanted.
The easy way I mean is by consuming Diet Pills - that claim to assist
you in quick weight loss.Here are 4 reasons why you should watch out

1. Your Health
Weight loss pills can cause serious side effects to your health - such
as heart problems, hair loss, high blood pressure and anxiety just to
name a few. The main ingredients in diet pills are ephedrine and
phentermine which have both been known to cause harmful effects such as
blurred vision, nausea and vomiting. They have also been known to cause
heart attacks and epilepsy.
2. Cost
This is a multi billion dollar industry - where there are many people
in suits making loads of money off of people like you and me by selling
products that do very little for people who want to lose weight. Many
fitness magazines endorse Diet Pills - and if you look closely at the
fine print you will see that the diet pill company being endorsed is
actually owned by the magazine - so most if not all these pills are
making other people very very rich. Diet pills can be very expensive,
and when taken over a period of time can really take a chunk out of
your wallet.
3. Do They Work?
Diet Pills simply don't work - or will only provide you with very
little results. The way to tell this is because if diet pills really
did work then there would be no more obesity and everyone would be at a
weight they would be happy with. The only way to lose weight
effectively and permanently is good old fashioned diet and exercise.
4. Short Term Solution
Diet Pills Curb your appetite so you eat less. Now if you lower your
calorie intake your metabolism may begin to slow down and when this
happens your weight loss also slows down. So while you may have lost a
bit of weight to begin with when you first started taking the pills,
your weight loss will eventually come to a halt. So it may be a short
term solution - but weight loss pills are not the long term answer when
trying to lose weight.
From the above 4
statements you can see why Diet Pills are really only a very short term
solution (if any solution at all) to weight loss, and how bad they are
for your health. All of us who have battled with our weight all want
the 'answer', the special 'solution', the 'secret' to losing weight and
losing it quick. Diet Pills only offer a short term solution - a quick
fix. But you need to ask your self this - Do I want short term weight
loss that will cause my health to suffer with diet pill side effects or
do I want long term weight loss that will increase my life expectancy
and provide me with long term health benefits? If you want to get off
the weight loss merry go round your only answer should be long term
weight loss.
There are many better ways to
lose weight without taking diet pills.
Believe it or not if you are serious about losing weight in a short
amount of time there is a healthy natural way to go about it - good
nutrition and effective exercise. Losing a good amount of weight in a
short period of time is certainly possible and doing it naturally
rather than popping pills will not only make you healthier and cost
less - it will provide you with far better results - far better
permanent results.
